Where to download free winrar zip Subdividing a mesh will always subdivide by a factor of 4. There is no benefit I can think of, but it does introduce new opportunities for things to go wrong I would stay away from Layers unless you specifically require their functionality. Tomas Wittelsbach uses this method a lot for keeping very fine detail in important areas in his jewellery pieces. The second method I have tried is to use a zsphere with the high poly, using the Rigging menu. Then Decimate, makign sure to check the Freeze Borders option. Any extraction was ruined. Just some random thoughts on things to try.
Project details zbrush Masking the areas you want to protect on your target mesh is definitely the way to go. I am learning as I go and some of these things still confuse the hell out of me. You are able to retain your subdivision levels and details with just a couple mouse clicks. I say pretty good and not great because it is a little inaccurate where the two meet, but that is probably because the mesh is not an exact retopo I have also tried merging all subtools and projecting as one mesh but that resulted in the pants not projecting at all. So what am I missing?

So rather than trying to project a multiple fine detail subtools separately onto a single fused mesh, fuse those pieces together first with live boolean to get rid of overlapped or extraneous geometry, remesh that mesh, and project the detail onto it. Use this Clone as my topology base, and build the new toopolgy from this in Zb. I think one thing people run into is they decide too late to do retopology and projecting, when they get too much detail etc.
